Our Staff
Kirsten DeHart | President
Kirsten is the team President and Manager, and the mastermind behind the Sun Valley Devo vision. She’s also an avid mountain biker and skier, and loves chasing her two kids, Blake and Paige, around the valley’s trails.
Tom DeHart | Treasurer
Tom serves as Team Treasurer and Lead Sweep to get in his daily training. A longtime endurance athlete, Tom raced at a high level throughout college and beyond, and you can often see him throwing down some strong intervals on the skinny skis at Quigley or the Harriman Trail.
Dien Toussaint | HS Team Head Coach
Dien was born and raised in the Wood River Valley. His love for all things two wheels began early on in his youth with racing BMX bikes and riding Dirt bikes with his father. In the early 90s Dien lined up to race his first MTB race, the Galena Grinder, and from that day on he was hooked on Mountain bike racing. To this day you can find Dien lining up to race everything from XC to Gravel to Enduro and even Dirt bikes. Dien is a certified PMBIA coach and has over 20 years of experience working as a bike mechanic as a former employee of Sturtevants of Sun Valley.
Eric Chizum | Coach
An absolute machine on a bike, Eric has competed in and stood on the podium of bike races all over the West. From the MTB to the gravel scene he has excelled as a competitive cyclist. As a main coach for Sun Valley Devo, he is now focused on sharing his knowledge of coaching and racing with junior cyclists in the Wood River Valley.
Pat McCormick | Coach
Pat’s passion for all things mountains is palpable and he brings fantastic energy to the Devo squad. When he’s not riding his bike, he’s a backcountry ski guide for Sun Valley Guides and a custom home builder.
Ryan Drew | Coach
Ryan is a native of the Wood River Valley and is an avid explorer on his gravel, road, and mountain bike. Having just moved back to Hailey after years in California, he can be found searching for any new trails where the bike can take him. Ryan spent four seasons as a coach for the San Rafael High School Mountain Bike Team while living in California and loves being a part of the transformative impact of cycling on individuals and communities.
Jackson Long | Coach
Born and raised in Sun Valley, Jackson has been a lifelong mountain athlete. After a strong junior road cycling career, he moved to Boulder, Colorado to study physiology and race with the country’s best and learn the science behind endurance training and nutrition at the University of Colorado. Jackson is the head nutritionist for Sun Valley Devo and holds a master’s degree in Applied Nutrition, specializing in sports performance nutrition. He additionally coaches the SVSEF cross-country ski team, hops in the occasional gravel race, and is often found recording podcasts, eating burritos, or making fancy coffee.
Kyle Rafford | Coach
Since 2008, Kyle has called Ketchum home, and this avid outdoorsman takes full advantage of this area's resources. Mountain biking, skiing, and hiking keep Kyle active, and on mellow days he can be found fishing for wild Rainbows on the Big Wood River. At home, Kyle and his wife Gabrielle keep busy raising their two kids, and being able to share this paradise with his family is a feat he lists as his most significant accomplishment to date.
Brad Walker | Coach
Brad loves the freedom and independence found on all bikes from mountain to gravel to road. Brad learned about competition and endurance sports from his time in college rowing competitively for UCSB. This love for racing and training easily transferred to biking when he returned to Idaho and he found mountain biking. He has enjoyed racing in all types of bike events around the West, but cyclocross is his favorite flavor for competition. He has completed an Ironman triathlon and put in many hours on a TT bike preparing for that event. Now, you’ll see him chasing his sons in the pump park and dreaming about the good ole days when he could chase Strava segments.
